A tribute to the Acropolis Restaurant | Endicott, New York

My friend Helen grew up working at her parent’s restaurant, The Acropolis, located in Endicott, NY. They moved here from Greece, and have worked every day of their lives making this restaurant as special as it is today. Helen wanted to give them a tribute to all the years that they have been serving their patrons, who have also become family. We spent a morning photographing the “regulars” and the staff. We picked our favorites and presented Helen’s parents with a book of their “Acropolis Family”. This project touched my heart from the minute I walked in the door. This wasn’t just a restaurant, it was home for many of its staff and patrons. Enjoy some of my favorite photos from the project.
